Five pages on the numbers from 1 to 120, the 1st grade counting goal. Page 1 is a whole 120 chart with numbers missing, most of them past 100, where children first meet 101 to 120. Page 2 has number paths to finish: count on and back by ones across 100, and count by tens from any number. Page 3 shows pieces of the chart, rows and columns, with a few numbers given; across a row is one more each time and down a column is ten more. Page 4 shows big groups of dots in ten frames: count the full frames by tens, then count on the ones. Page 5 prints a 120 chart beside ten number clues (10 more than 104, count back 5 from 120). Each page after the first starts with a worked example.
Count aloud as a class past 100 and listen for "one hundred one, one hundred two": many children say "two hundred" after 109 or skip from 109 to 200. Point at the chart while you count so they see 101 sits right under 91. For page 4, let children count real collections (beans in cups of ten) before they count dots on paper.
Count things together past 100: steps on a walk, cereal pieces put in groups of ten, or pennies in stacks of ten. Ask your child to tell you the number that comes after 109 and before 101.
