The Kindergarten unit test on comparing to 10. Pages 1 and 2 are Form A. Pages 3 and 4 are Form B: the same questions in the same order with different pictures and numbers, for a retake or a child who was away. Each form has 8 questions, one point each, and a Score line on its first page. Read every question aloud: a small picture beside each question number (a sun, a moon, a car) lets you say "Find the sun. Draw lines to match." The pre-check and the unit review are packs of their own.
Give Form A the day after the unit review, to a small group at a table, reading one question at a time and waiting until everyone is done. Questions 6 to 8 (draw more dots than a group, put numbers in order, first to tenth) are taught in Kindergarten in some states only: leave out the ones your class does not learn and score out of 5, 6 or 7. The answer keys name each question's skill, so a missed question points to the lesson to reteach.
Use Form B as a check after the unit. Read each question aloud and let your child point and count out loud.
